The Brassies Ryder Cup is a 2-player team match play competition: 6 hole scramble, 6 hole alternate shot and 6 hole best ball.
RULES:
Scramble:
Each player may place her ball within twelve inches of the selected shot no nearer the hole. If the selected shot is played from the rough, bunker, hazard, fairway or fringe of the green, the ball must be placed within twelve inches of the shot, but it must remain in the original condition from which it was moved; i.e., a ball in the rough must remain in the rough. The ball may be lifted, cleaned and placed for each shot.
Alternate Shot (Chapman):
Each player plays from the teeing ground and each plays her partnerÕs ball for the second shot. After the second shot, partners select the ball with which they wish to score and play that ball alternately to complete the hole.
Best Ball (Four-Ball): Two partners play their better ball against the better ball of the two other players.
HANDICAPPING:
Team members should not have more than a 10 stroke handicap differential.
Scramble:
40% of combined: Take 40% of combined 18 hole handicap, round and let the strokes fall where they may on those handicap holes.
Alternate Shot (Chapman):
60% of lower handicap & 40% of higher handicap: Add two together and round and let strokes fall where they may on those handicap holes.
Best Ball (Four-Ball):
95% of handicap: Take 95% of each player's 18 hole handicap and strokes fall where they may on those handicap holes.
